Except for the old laws that are Devotees wearing Bermudas, Lungi, Home Coat will not be allowed inside the Temple, Temple authority has not set any dress code. As per the new code by Madras High Court, devotees should wear dhotis and Pyjamas with a cloth on the upper body, or Pant with Shirt. And women have to wear saree or half saree with blouse, or Kurti. Children have to wear any fully covered Dress.

Almost all the devotees are welcoming this Dress Code. As they say that Improper Dresses would be distracting to other Devotees. So if you can try, then try to follow it for Tradition and Custom. You can wear Kurti/legging or Pant/ Shirt to be comfortable also, as the waiting time for the Darshan can be long. It could take hours.
