Tiruvannamalai temple is most visited temple in Tamilnadu, which houses Lord Arunachaleswara. The temple will be mostly crowded during the full moon days which is very famous for Girivalalam. Generally, the temple will be over crowded during a Pournami day and it is almost impossible to get Darshan on this day. People who visit Tiruvannamalai on a full moon day generally visits for Girivalam and dont bother of having Darshan in the temple. If pilgrims want to visit the temple and have Darshan on a Full moon day, then have to bear with long ques and also more waiting time.

The temple rituals are performed six times a day; Ushathkalam at 5:30 a.m., Kalasanthi at 8:00 a.m., Uchikalam at 10:00 a.m., Sayarakshai at 6:00 p.m., Irandamkalam at 8:00 p.m. and Ardha Jamam at 10:00 p.m. Each ritual comprises four steps: Abhisheka (sacred bath), Alangaram (decoration), Neivethanam (food offering) and Deepa aradanai (waving of lamps) for both Annamalaiyar and Unnamulai Amman.

Waiting time for Darshan on Pournami: 6-8 Hours

However, these temple timings might get changed due to festivals and special occasions.
