The Jagannath temple is the important pilgrimage destination which is located at Puri in Odisha, on the eastern coast of India. The temple was constructed in the 12th century by the King Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva of the Eastern Ganga dynasty. The temple is also the part of the Char Dham pilgrimage. Temple is famous for its Annual Rath Yatra. When you see Lord Jagannath worshipped here is in wooden, it makes this temple very distinguishable.

The temple is home to 3 deities — Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Balabhadra, and sister Subhadra. The large sized wooden idols of these 3 deities sit on a throne. Balabhadra is 6 feet tall, Jagannatha is 5 feet, and Subhadra is 4 feet tall.
