Amritsar Golden Temple
The Golden Temple in Amritsar opens door to millions of devotees from India and its far places, irrespective of caste, race, creed, community, and gender. The Golden temple is also known to be Harmandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib. The name Harmandir means “temple of God”. It is one of the most visited places in the state of Punjab. Golden Temple in Amritsar is the most respected Sikh Gurudwara in India. It was founded by the fourth Guru Ram Das in the year 1577. - The Temple is open all days of the week from 4:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
- The morning ceremony (Palki Sawari) is around 4.30 am and the evening one (Samapti) is around 9.30 pm.
